Preparing for 2026

The Hello 2026 stickers are now listed!

Threshold new year’s design

I like the threshold pattern because New Year’s is a threshold between one year and the next. It’s a liminal space, and the archway and threshold represent that.

Lake new year’s design

I like the lake pattern because of the size and color, and also because of the reflection in the image. It inspires us to reflect on the year behind us and think about the year ahead.

Preparing for the New Year

Right around now, I always try to take some time to reflect on the past year. I have a sticker set of quarterly and annual review questions for journaling that I’m almost ready to list. I’ve been using them for a couple of years now, and somehow never got around to adding them to the shop.

I also use Emily P. Freeman’s Next Right Thing Guided Journal every year. Her weekly, monthly, quarterly, and yearly reflections are incredibly helpful.

When it comes to setting goals or intentions for the new year, I have my Goal-Setting Sticker set. I also have several Bible-themed word of the year stickers and a Cultivate word of the year sticker. I have several more words that I need to get listed–Savor, Focus, Joy, Peace, and Contemplate.

Do you choose a word of the year?

I’ve chosen a word of the year for the past several years and I am currently mulling over my word for 2026. It’s between two different words with similar but not identical definitions/intents. I’m waiting to see which speaks to me most and which comes up most often between now and New Year’s Eve.

How do you choose your word of the year?
